Re: How can I obtain free upgrade Turboprint?

Hello Normand,

to update TurboPrint within your "free updates" period, simply download and install the current version from www.turboprint.info -> link "Download".

Re: Network printer error "Can't detect file type"

Hello,

we just got in touch via email and fount out the following:

Depending on the Linux version on the printer server, print jobs were not processed properly because of an incompatible "file type" of the print job.

The current TurboPrint version 2.43 solves the problem.

Re: Ghostscript Threads to improve rendering speed

Hello,

sorry that it took so long to answer this question. In PrintFab Windows there is no script that you can modify yourself - we will add this possibility in the next release of PrintFab.

Re: Printing to TP printer from photoprint does not work

On my Linux system the preview window opens when I print from Potoprint.

Do you get the preview from other applications, e.g. when printing from Libre Office?

Re: Printing to TP printer from photoprint does not work

Okay, I found it. You can either select one of the print queues or use the command

lp -s -d <printername>

(remove "-o raw").

Re: tpdaemon stops in ubuntu 14.04

I am not sure if this is caused by slow print job processing in the driver or slow data transmission to the printer. Does attaching the printer by USB speed up printing?

Re: How to use colorimeter with turboprint

I forgot to answer some of your questions a) ColorMunki can be recommended, EyeOne Pro 2 or the older EyeOne version 1 (second hand only) are quicker if you want to create accurate profiles from targets with many color patches. b) it makes sense to use the profiling software that is included with th...

Re: How to use colorimeter with turboprint

Hello, the spectrophotometers ColorMunki or EyeOne can be recommended. You can print the color targets either with TurboPrint under Linux or you can use our Windows software "PrintFab" that is very similar to TurboPrint/Linux and uses the same printer drivers and color profiles. The EyeOne profiling...

Re: Printing to TP printer from photoprint does not work

Hello, I just tried with Photoprint 0.4.2 under Ubuntu 17.04 and printing worked with TurboPrint. In your print command line ("lp -s -d ....") the argument "-oraw" seems to be wrong - it will cause the printer driver to be bypassed. However, I do not see the possibility to specify the print command ...

Re: System default printer ignored

After entering "lpoptions -d <printername>", the "lpq" command should show information for <printername>.

Otherwise the problem might actually be that the Ricoh is a network printer.

Re: System default printer ignored

Hello, sorry, my instructions were wrong. lpoptions -d Ricoh-Aficio-3235C will set the user default printer to Ricoh-Aficio-3235C. Some applications look for the system default printer instead for the user default printer - you can set it with lpadmin -d Ricoh-Aficio-3235C (on some Linux distributio...

Re: System default printer ignored

Hello Richard, TurboPrint can set the default printer (TurboPrint Control, button "Default") but should also respect an existing default printer. Please note that the default printer is set per user. Please try the following: - set the default printer using the Linux printer administration tool or t...
