Re: How do I recover my configs from a previous install?
OK, apologies I was a little angry there... I found an old backup and restored according you your instructions... thank you. I will ensure I have my root filesystem also backed up. I am having some color issues - saturation is very low (not nozzles, as nozzle check is good). So I will troubleshoot a...

OK thanks
so not in the home folder (because that is the one I have a backup for).
Thanks
Feature request: allow the user to specify where the configs get saved, or have a config export button to allow a snapshot

How do I recover my configs from a previous install?
I had to reinstall my Linux OS (Mint) after some issues. I have backups of my home folder, but when I reinstated that TurboPrint does not read the 'turboprint.cfg' file. I had to add my printer again, and the custom profiles I had painfully set up do not appear. Apart from home>user>.turboprint wher...

Black and White printing bug - UCR level doesn't save
Hi, when I try adjusting the Black Level (UCR) in the config tool, it saves there. However when I open the print dialog and print using that same configured printer, the black level (UCR) still shows the default setting (50%). When I change that setting in the print dialog there is a noticeable diff...

Re: What are ink level usage defaults in print dialog, and how can the defaults be set?
OK thank you for the explanation, it makes sense.
FYI my UI is a little different - I don't have separate sliders for photo magenta / cyan, only one slider.
Perhaps I set my printer up incorrectly?
Thanks

What are ink level usage defaults in print dialog, and how can the defaults be set?
Hi, for my Epson 3880, I noticed that in the print dialog >> Advanced there are a number of % settings for ink level defaults, Question 1 - specifically I see three defaults: - UCR Black Usage (set to 50% default). Why 50%? - Photo-Cyan Usage (set to 50% default). Why 50%? - Photo-Magenta Usage (set...

Re: Black and White (only) printing Epson 3880
Ok, thank you for answering my questions. A member of pixls.us was following this thread also and advised me to use the gray color balance wheel on one of the tabs. I tried a minor adjustment to get rid of the yellow cast and the print now looks like a perfectly balanced black and white! One suggest...

Re: Black and White (only) printing Epson 3880
It does not work to use only black and grey inks as the individual grey inks of the printer have different color casts (black is a little bit blueish, the gray inks are yellowish) - thus the driver always adds a small part of color inks. Note that you can remove your blueish cast with the color/gre...

Re: Black and White (only) printing Epson 3380
Hello, if your printer is the Epson Stylus Pro 3880: TurboPrint has a special mode for black & white photos. If you select "Color mode"="Gray photo" in the driver settings, photos are printed almost only with black & gray inks. A little bit of color ink added to maintain...

Re: Black and White (only) printing Epson 3380
Ok thank you Some more questions: 1. Does this mode mimick the Epson ABW mode (my understanding is that this is managed in the hw as opposed to driver). Is the turboprint driver able to 'call' this abe mode in the printer, or is the driver performing the task in its own way/ as a best effort? 2. Doe...

Black and White (only) printing Epson 3880
Hi, I'm new to turbo print. I am interested in purchasing for my 3380. In the Epson driver (mac/pc) there's an option to only print with black inkset. Does this option appear anywhere in TurboPrint?
Thanks
