Re: printer not connected

Hallo Gian, you can edit the IP address in TurboPrint Control. There click on the button to edit your printer. You may either edit the URI string that defines the connection of the printer or select your printer in the pulldown list of printer connections currently available (attached printers which...

Re: Black mistaken print

Hello, this is correct, the default setting for Glossy mixes black from Cyan, Magenta and Yellow and the setting for Inkjet Paper uses CMYK but is currently limited to 2880dpi. A higher print resolution is possible but print speed is lower and print quality is probably the same. I can send you an ex...

Re: Blurry left edge when printing with Printfab

Hello, I assume that the photo card printed in landscape format. Does the blurred edge occur at the start or at the end of the print process? A white line at the end can occur if the page size selected in the driver doesn't match the actual paper size. Which page size did you select in the print dia...

Re: Can Turboprint handle gray profiles?

Hello and sorry for the late answer,
TurboPrint currently doesn't handle gray profiles. You can get the same result by selecting an RGB profile with the same gama value (e.g. sRGB) and selecting "Color Mode"="Gray Photo".

Re: How do I specify image color space?

It sounds like a problem with authorization that happens on newer Archlinux systems in combination with older TurboPrint versions. TurboPrint 2.48-2 has adaptions for this. You can try to start your TurboPrint Control from shell with admin rights: "sudo turboprint" - the color space is probably adde...

Re: How do I specify image color space?

Hello, this is strange - if you successfully added the color space "ProPhoto RGB", adding "Adobe RGB" should work just as well. Can you please check if the profiles are visible in TurboPrint Control turboprint control - color spaces.png gimp - turboprint plugin.png If you can see "Adobe RGB" in Turb...

Thank you for your clarification. Would adjusting the maximum ink amount per channel be sufficient for the moment?

Re: printing from Photoshop/Lightroom using ProPhoto RGB

Hello, this is correct, you should always select the same color space in the Lightroom print settings and in the PrintFab settings: printfab-lightroom-profile.png Your photos will always stay in the original color space, the conversion is only performed on the image data that are sent to the printer...

Re: softproof icc files + ColorSync

Hello,

sorry, this problem is not yet known or reported and I cannot reproduce it here.

The softproof profile is visible in Colorsync after it has been copied /Library/ColorSync/Profiles
and also works in applications.

Re: bad profiles with L1800 linearization curves don't match

Hello, the user linearization for PrintFab is actually still missing. However, I am not sure if the strange gamut (missing "edges" at Red, Green and Blue) is the result of bad linearization. Maybe the ink limit is set too low. We noticed that the gamut is best at ink limit = 250. A higher ink limit ...
