Hello alex, the print monitor only asks for authorisation when attempting to change the printer queue state (accept jobs / stop / start printer). User ID and password are needed to change the printer state in the CUPS printing system. Depending on your Linux distribution this is not necessarily the ...

Hello, deleting files in /tmp or /home/tmp should not concern TurboPrint - I think the problem must be somewhere else. The error message "unable to open ppd file 48877771186f5" is not a TurboPrint error message - maybe it comes from the application. Can you print a test page from TurboPrin...

PS: To make position test prints, you could create an image with crosshairs at the center and print it on an old CD (data side). If the position is incorrect you can wipe off the crosshairs and reuse the CD for the next test.

Hello, what is your previous and current TurboPrint version? There is a new template for OpenOffice in TurboPrint 2.x that does not depend on the printer model (page size 14x14cm with 1cm margins). This new template must be used with page size "CD/DVD" (not A4). If alignment is still incor...

Hello Valery,

please excuse the delay!

I just tried to reproduce the problem on our system but could not find a problem (maybe it is dependend on other system components, like GIMP or CUPS).

I'll send some more information and a screenshot how print settings in GIMP should look like by email.

Hello,

no such problem has been reported or noticed yet.

From which application software do you print (e.g. GIMP)?

Can you post or email the log file /var/log/turboprint/print.log for such a print (only log file section of the last print job)?

The TurboPrint driver doesn't actually rotate the page - rotation is performed by the application, in this case OpenOffice.

The driver may specify which orientation it prefers (left or right end first), but OpenOffice doesn't seem to care. Which Linux driver(s) did you try?

Hello,

the page orientation "portrait" / "landscape" is chosen in the application program, not in the printer driver configuration. From which program(s) did you try to print?

Hello, thank you for your feedback! The "Envelope" page format was incorrectly defined for some Canon drivers ("landscape" instead of "portrait"). @sraiguel: This was the case with the Canon i6500 driver and has been corrected in TurboPrint 2.08. Please download and ins...

Hello, TurboPrint (and your printer) will behave as if you refill your ink cartridges - once the chip on the ink cartridges has counted to "zero" the printer refuses to print, but can be forced to continue by holding the "feed/continue" button for a few seconds. From that moment ...

This is correct - the color space must be selected in TurboPrint Control Center (or in the application's print dialog, if it offers printer settings - e.g. the TurboPrint print plugin for GIMP).

Currently no color profiles are included with print jobs, so there is no way to handle this automatically.
