The message is not a TurboPrint message - it comes from the CUPS printing system. CUPS uses its own set of passwords which are managed by the "lppasswd" command. Running "setup" is not required for registering. Either run sudo xtpsetup and select the key file using the button &qu...

In GIMP you have to choose the "Postscript Level 2" printer driver and import the PPD file of the TurboPrint driver. The print command must be edited - remove the "-o raw" option. Details can be found in the TurboPrint manual: http://www.turboprint.info/manual/turboprint-7.html#s...

"permission denied" errors may occur if you installed using "./setup" instead of "sudo ./setup". Can you post the error messages you got?

KWord has the standard KDE print dialog. If a TurboPrint printer was set up (using sudo xtpsetup), it should be visible in the print dialog as printer "tp0".

The LED blinks if the printer receives data that are not printer command codes.

You could send the last section of the file /var/log/turboprint_cups.log, i.e. the part between "new print job" and "end of print job".

You can start these programs also from command line:

xtpsetup

for TurboPrint Setup (adding new printers; root login required) and

xtpconfig

for TurboPrint Config (changing printer driver default settings, e.g. print quality, paper size & type, ...).

TurboPrint is a printer driver, scanner and fax are not supported. No solution is known for the fax, the scanner might work with a SANE driver - see

There is an error from ghostscript ERROR: /undefined in sudo "sudo" is not a postscript command - it looks like if your installation of the CUPS printing system is messed up and doesn't convert print jobs to postscript. This may not be a problem for print jobs from the client as the client...

It might be an application or document specific problem. Ghostscript reports such errors e.g. for certain PDF documents. From which application did you print? If you printed from an application that can also save the print job to a file (e.g. OpenOffice, Firefox) you can save the print job and run g...
