Re: Which icc profile to select for soft proofing
Hello, yes, this is correct. You can use the following soft proof profiles: Photo Paper Plus Glossy II - PP-301 => TS9500-canon_pp201.icc Glossy Photo Paper - GP-701 => TS9500-canon_gp501.icc This is a good approximation. Of course you can use our profiling service to create an individual color prof...

Re: Presets
Hello, the printing settings "presets" are a mechanism of macOS, not PrintFab. In our experience the presets work reliably - if a "preset" is selected in the macOS print dialog, the corresponding settings are also used for the next print job. A known problem is that macOS sometim...

Hello,
generally, printing halftones with PrintFab Pro XL works also on Ventura.
Can you describe your problem - e.g. you cannot find the dialog "Special settings screen printings"?

Re: RE-Turboprint 2.15 needed
The sorting may be a bit confusing, at the top are RPM and TGZ downloads and at the end the DEB downloads. The oldest TurboPrint version that is currently available is 2.36-1 from 2015.

Hello JBassett22,
you can still download previous releases of TurboPrint from our Webserver:

Re: Epson ET-2850 Transparency issue
Hello Alex, in the PrintFab driver for the Epson ET-2850, the setting Transparency prints with "composite black" = Cyan+Magenta+Yellow. Please select "Paper"="Epson Matte Heavy" instead, this media setting will cause pigmented black ink to be used instead. The ET-2850 p...

Re: System Error when printing on DesignJet using PrintFab driver
Hello, the "system error 79:04" may occur when printing at the highest resolution (2400dpi). Printing at 300-1200dpi should work.
Please let me know if this solves the problem.

Re: What limitations once test period is over
Hello Johnny, after the end of the trial a "TurboPrint" logo is printed on the page, so you can only use it for testing, not for real prints.

Re: Upgrading my Mac OS. Will I have issues?
Hello cabezon37, often new security mechanisms of new macOS versions require adaptions in PrintFab, thus older PrintFab versions often cannot be used on the latest macOS release. You will probably need an update for using PrintFab on Catalina or Big Sur. Note that an update of your license key allow...

Re: Halftone Printing Settings for transparency
Hello Kees,
if you select "multi black" and enable three inks, the inks will be printed 33/33/33 percent. Currently there is no way to change this .
PrintFab bypasses all Epson driver software, the Epson driver doesn't interfere with the halftoning.

Re: Halftone Printing Settings for transparency
If you are printing pre-halftoned black-and-white images, I recommend to set "Halftone Screen Mode"="Single Black (no halftone)" (or "All Black (no halftone)" for an all black cartridge set). This is a new option that was introduced in PrintFab 2.97-4. The setting "...

Re: maximum print size on roll
Hello victorgv,
the R1900 driver in TurboPrint and PrintFab has a length limit of 129 inches (327cm) - is that length enough for your purposes? This limit can be extended by changing a config file, let me know if you need to produce longer prints.

Re: Pixma Pro 9000 "quality"
The PrintFab printer driver for the Canon Pro 9000 specifies the highest resolution as "9600dpi" for glossy/semiglossy media and "4800dpi" for the other media. Internally, the printer works with an addressable resolution of up to 1200x1200dpi - multiplied by a possible number of ...
