Hello magi6162, if the installation was successful, you should find the icons "TurboPrint Control Center" and "TurboPrint Status Monitor" on your desktop. If the installation did not work, you can use the TGZ archive of TurboPrint for installation. It includes its own installer w...

Hello harddrago, if your printer is connected via USB, you should use the TP-USB driver for sending the printer data. This is selected when setting the printer up in the TurboPrint Control Center (menu "Connection"). The table showing all TurboPrint printers lists the port connection in th...

Hello, thank you for your feedback! The densiometer of the 10ps is not enabled in PrintFab as automatic calibration didn't work reliably with our test printer. I will email you instructions on how to enable calibration - but this is not officially supported. It doesn't make sense to use HP's paper p...

For printing to a USB printer using the CUPS printing system you need a working usblp driver. Then the device /dev/usblp0 will be provided and the USB backend can send data to your printer. This issue is not a special TurboPrint problem - it will not work with standard CUPS drivers either on your sy...

Hello SilverJumbo,

this issue is not known yet. Could you please send in a bugreport through our webpage -> feedback?
There you can also fill in some additional information we need, like the version number of TurboPrint, connection type of your printer, etc.

Hello nightbug, as your printer is connected via USB, why do you change access rights of the parallel port "/dev/lp0"? The USB port would be either "/dev/usb/lp0" or "/dev/usblp0". Please check your printer connection in the TurboPrint Control Center (or TurboPrint Setu...

The HP CP1700 is not supported directly, however it might work with the driver of the C5180 printer.
You can download and try the free 30-day demo version of TurboPrint. It works for 30 days without any limitations.
At least it is worth a try.

Hello darkstar,

sounds to me as if there is a problem with the CUPS daemon - probably not running.
Please try to start it from a shell / command line with the command:

sudo cupsd

(enter your admin password when asked).

Now try starting the TurboPrint Control Center again.

Hello Amistad, for printing labels I do not recommend the borderless mode. In borderless mode the printer is much slower and is restricted to certain quality and paper modes. Only if you really need to print at the borders of the labels, borderless mode is useful. Set up your new page format using 3...

Printers are probed by Cups when TurboPrint opens a Cups connection. So the only way to stop printer probing is to remove the interface drivers for all interfaces that are not used. If you are connecting your printers via the "socket" protocol, you could move all other backends from the &q...
