Hello,

I have a problem with turboprint on ubuntu 13.10.

I suppressed the printer by error  and when I add it again I obtain this error message :

This error message persist after uninstall and reinstall turboprint even if I suppressed .turboprint* in my home.

The printer work perfectly on an other PC with turboprint

My question : how can I uninstall properly turboprint and reinstall it after ?

Best regards,
Florent.

Hallo florent,

you have probably chosen the wrong printer port - as I can see "/dev/lp0" is selected which means that the printer is connected via parallel port.
If your printer has a different connection, please click on "Edit" in TurboPrint Control, then the list of detected printer connection is shown. There select the entry listing your printer (e.g. "Canon Pixma iX4000 (TP-USB)").
The column "URI" in TurboPrint Control shows which connection is used. For USB printers it should show "tpu://..." or "usb:/...".
