can't make it work

Hi. I'm a newbie in linux, and I've just installed Ubuntu 6.06. I'm trying to make my Canon Multipass F30 work using turboprint and everything seems to go right, except it doesn't print..., I run the xtpsetup and add my printer in the lp0 port (it's connected in the paralel port). In the printing dialog, it recognizes the new printer (tp0) and appears to be ready, but when doing a test printing it reaches 100% printing.... but nothing comes out.

Am I missing something here, should I have installed something before turboprint?

By the way I've already rebooted my pc.

Can you print from TurboPrint Config / command line "xtpconfig", e.g. page "toolbox", button "nozzle check"? If that works, also try the "test page" (test & status page).

no, I can't do the "nozzle check" neither. It all apears to be ready on the PC but the printer doesn't show any sign of recieving data when I try to print.
Besides the printer apears to be ready on the printing menu even when it's turned off.

ummm, anyone there with the same printer? what else should I try?
