Removing TurbPrint icons from Ubuntu Desktop

When TurboPrint installed, it created 2 icons on my desktop. I don't know why? In any case, I added them to my panel by dragging and dropping from the desktop to the panel.

Then I highlighted the icons on the desktop and deleted them. They were gone. I don't like icons cluttering up my desktop.

However, I rebooted this system a couple days later and the desktop icons were back.

Can anyone help me permanently remove them? One is "TurboPrint Control" and the other is "TurboPrint Monitor".

Thanks

Cheers,
R.

Hello,

there is a mechanism that will copy the icons once to the desktop (e.g. for a user other than the one that installed TurboPrint).

The file

/home/<user>/.turboprint/icons-copied

marks that this has been done - the file should already exist in your case so no additional icons should be created.

Yes, that file does exist. I'm the only user on this computer, so I installed TurboPrint. Anyway, I've just removed them again and when I get around to rebooting, I'll see whether they appear again.

Thanks
