General help

Post by markusblanshard »

Hi, I'm new to Linux although willing to give it a good go. I have been trying to setup my wireless Epson XP-900 printer with the Ubuntu 20. Just cannot figure out how to set this up. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Markus

Hello,

sorry for the delay - I hope the question is still relevant.

You can try our TurboPrint driver applicatiom that contains a driver for the Epson XP-900 printer. TurboPrint is a commercial software but can be freely tested for 30 days, the download is available at www.turboprint.info -> link "Download".

After installing TurboPrint, start the TurboPrint Control application to set up your printer. If the printer is already connected to your wireles LAN, the printer should be suggested in TurboPrint's add printer dialog. If not, please determine the printer's IP address directly at the printer panel (4 numbers separated by dots, e.g. 192.168.17.2).

Then add your printer as "other printer", type "Network printer socket / jet direct" and enter the IP address in the field "Server".
