CUPS error on xtpsetup

Post by madsurfer »

Hi
I am trying to setup turboprinter to use my cups system over the network. However when ever I try to configure my remote machine and testprint I get the following error:- /usb/lib/cups/backend/ipp failed
this is the error given to me from xpsetup when I try to add a printer from the server. Note the local server machine prints from the usb switch ok. I don't know what I am doing wrong and really need to get this machine printing!!
Can anyone give me some help or advice?

Hello,

if you want to print to a Linux network printer server you have to enter

printers/<name of print queue>

in the printer name field (e.g. printers/tp0 if the printer is named "tp0" on the server) in TurboPrint Setup / xtpsetup.

Remote server print

Hi
Have done what has been said but the usb printer on the local machine does not print. The remote machine does say there is a testprint shown but it does not get printed on the printer.
