Sorry for my English.

I has turboPrint2 under Unbuntu 9.10. I have added Profile "B1" with my icc profile in the "Profiles".
On a computer with MacOSX 10.4.11 I has added a network printer tp0 through SystemPrefernce/Print&Fax/"+"/Default. Its works fine, I can see the paper "B1" in the settings.
Under MacOSX 10.5.8 in SystemPrefernce/Print&Fax/"+"/Default I can not find the printer Turboprint.

1. How to add a printer tp0 in MacOSX 10.5.8 that would use the profile of "B1"?
2. How to add a printer tp0 in WindowsXP/2003 that would use the profile of "B1"?

Thank you.

Hello,

I don't know why automatic sharing from Linux to OSX doesn't work anymore in OS 10.5/10.6.

The following should work:

1. copy the PPD file of the printer to share from the Linux machine to your Mac - all PPD files are stored in /etc/cups/ppd.

2. open SystemPreferences / Print&Fax / +

3. select "IP", Protocol = "IPP"

4. Address = name or IP address of Linux machine

5. Queue = printers/printername (e.g. if the PPD file was named "tp0.ppd", enter "printers/tp0")

6. enter a "Name"

7. Print using = "Other..." and select the PPD file

When you add a new profile on your Linux computer, you will have to copy the PPD file once again.

PS: there is no easy way to do this on Windows, as it is not possible to add a printer with just a PPD file.

1. copyed to MacOSX: /user/ald/library/printers/
2. Done.
3. Done.
4a. 192.168.7.33
4b. 192.168.7.33:631
5. printers/tp0
6. Done.
7. Done.

Error:
"Some of the software for the printer is missing.

You may not be able to print to "Epson_StylusPhoto1410 TurboPrint". Please reinstall the printer's software."
