Ubuntu 12.04 compatability

Post by Girts »

I've just upgraded to Ubuntu 12.04 (64 bit) and find that PDF content is not printing properly. Text is fine, but there's a space where images should be.
Is this a known problem or is 12.04 not supported yet?

Hello,

there seems to be an incompatibility between the Ubuntu PDF document viewer (Evince) and certain versions of Ghostscript, the postscript interpreter used by TurboPrint. We are investigating how to work around this problem. One solution is to use a different PDF viewer, e.g. Adobe Reader.

I've just looked more closely at this and it seems that the images within the PDF that don't print are PNGs, but any jpeg images print OK.
Does this make sense? Does it help?

A new TurboPrint version 2.26-2 has just been released that solves the problem. The download is available on

http://www.turboprint.info -> link "Download"

If you install the new version I would appreciate your feedback.
