Epson P50 thick paper printing

Post by Micpau »

I have an Epson P50 and would like to raise the head to thick paper and envelope printing. (same height as CD printing)
In Epson print driver can I select that option, but when I print via PrintFab that option is not avialable.
Can I get that option to work from PrintFab?

Hello,

thank you for your feedback!

This setting is currently not implemented but it should be possible to add it.

How do you select thick paper in Epson's driver - by setting media type to "Envelope"?
On which types of media do you print?

Hello,

I select the Maintenance tab in printer settings, select Printer and Option Information, then select Thick Paper and envelopes.

I select envelopes in type of media.

The printhead is then raised to avoid smeared printout.

I print on a thicker paper.

It would be great to be able to use that option in PrintFab.

Hi,

Just wanted to add that the same problem exists with Canon PIXMA iP5000 (and probably lots of other PIXMA models). There is no "Envelope" type listed in the TurboPrint media type selection and printing envelopes is impossible, i.e. it resultes in smudged ink.

Thank you for the helpful suggestions - we are already working on the "Enveolope" feature.
