epson stylus photo r3000 only sounds

I just installed the latest turboprint on opensuse 12.2 to print with my epson stylus photo r3000.

Installation seems to be goin well, but when I print a document from gimp (turbo print is listed)
the printer only produces some sounds, nothing else... hmmmmmmmmmm

Does the printer make a noise but doesn't feed the paper or does it feed the paper through the printer (quickly / slowly as if would print)?

I have the following additional questions:

- Please open TurboPrint Control and find out the "URI" as visible in the list of printers, column "URI".
- What is the printer status in TurboPrint Monitor (field "Printer: ..." below the selector "Queue") before / during printing?
- Does TurboPrint Monitor show the printer's ink levels?
