Epson 1430 Green Issue

Post by cscj01 »

When I select a dark green font color, Turboprint has grayish word(s) mixed in with the correct color on my printed output. The colors show correctly on the monitor. I am using Ubuntu 18.04 and LibreOffice 6.0.7.3. How can I correct this?

Run the nozzle check. It looks like the printed head is clogged.

That did not change the problem.

I am not sure if this is a problem in the TurboPrint driver, a problem in the printer (e.g. clogged print head, use of compatible ink) or a general limitation with reproduction of very dark colors.

Can you please send the following information:

- the type of ink that you are using (original Epson ink or compatible ink)

- the type of paper that you printed on (e.g. Plain Paper, Epson Inkjet Paper, Glossy Photo Paper)

- the log file /var/log/turboprint/print.log after a print that shows this problem
you can either send by email to mail (at) zedonet (dot) com or post the section for the last print starting from "#### New print job"

- a screenshot of the font in the document window

- a photo of the printed output

- a photo of the nozzle test print
