Invalid font Error

Postby emidwood » Thu Jan 01, 2009 7:32 am

I am trying to use certain fonts which do not print and instead I get an error message on the paper I am trying to print on. It has and ERROR message: invalidfont
OFFENDING COMMAND: xhow or show

These particular fonts print just fine with my normal driver but is considered invalid with PrintFab.

How can I make these fonts valid and print?

Also, on fonts that do print, the letters in the font are larger than the numbers. This was not true with the other driver.

I am using a Mac computer with OS 10.5.6

Thanks for the help.

Hello emidwood,

which Postscript interpreter are you using? You problem might be caused by the ghostscript interpreter - please try to switch to the internal OS X interpreter. This can be done in PrintFab settings by unchecking the "use Ghostscript" option.
Does that change anything?

Please follow the give steps.. the steps here mentioned will sure help you in resolving the issue you are getting..

-> Please Start Acrobat Distiller and select "Font locations" within its "Settings" menu.

-> Remove all the font folders listed there,

-> Don't remove "/Resource/Font" within the Acrobat application folder.

-> Acrobat Distiller will then search your hard disk for all font locations.

-> Close the dialog and restart Acrobat Distiller.

hope your issue has been fixed....

Thanks.. you also take technical support or expert views if the issue doesn't resolve after finishing the above steps....
