I have a problem when trying to initially configure Turboprint.
I followed the instructions posted 'Installation on (K)Ubuntu':
sudo xtpsetup
xtpconfig gets GTK-WARNING Cannot open Display
The computer is a Pent 3 166 MHZ
Ubuntu 6.06 intel version
Ubuntu does not let me log in as root.
I use sudo for root commands
Trying Xhost + gets Unable to opendisplay ""
I hope you can help me.
Thanks

Its a shame no ones answered you!
Sorry no ones answered you!
Ubuntu - Setting up root access:
sudo passwd
then enter new password. Thats it, root should now be working like normal. You should now be able to become root then do xhost + etc..
Though, you really shouldn't have to to.
sudo xtpsetup
Should work as far as I know. Without the xhost part. My question is does sudo synaptic work? If it does, then it is a question for Turbo Print to look at. If it does not, then its a question for the Ubuntu community to answer.
