Changing TurboPrint Default Page Settings

Post by varaonaid »

Hello,

I know this is a really basic question but how do I change the default settings from A4 to letter? I change the page size in TurboPrint Config from A4 to US-Letter, click Apply (also tried Save) but can't seem to get the program to remember that setting. When I close and reopen TurboPrint Config, the page settings are back to A4. I'm sure there's something simple I'm missing but I don't want to have to change this everytime I print, you know? I'd really appreciate any help!!

Thanks so much!

Hello,

the way you changed the settings is correct. We experienced problems when saving user settings on Ubuntu Linux - user settings are reverted to default settings.

You may try to change the default settings instead - this is done by starting TurboPrint Config as "root" user by entering

sudo xtpconfig

in a shell window.

Thanks *SO* much! Using the root access to change the settings worked perfectly. I really appreciate your help. :)
