[open] Canon iP6000D and printable CD

Hi,

I am continuing to evaluate the turboprint driver and I have a problem to print on CD.

I use, for that operation, OpenOffice (2.3.1) with the /usr/share/turboprint/doc/CD-Template-Canon.sxd file.

I select 'CD Tray' in the printing box then the printer says "Inner cover is open. Close it and press Resume".

What is the good procedure to print on a CD ?

Hello,

this message appears when the printer thinks that the print job is for regular paper, not a CD.

Please check in the OpenOffice print dialog: in the device settings the option "MediaType" must be set to "CD".

The printing options are set for "Printable CD" and "CD Tray" in OpenOffice dialog box but the printer always says "Inner cover is open. Close it and press Resume".

Hello,

the media type is set to "Plain Paper" in the log file. There is an additional "Device" menu available from the OpenOffice print dialog. Please set "MediaType" to "CD printable" in this menu.

Hi,

I found the problem.

If I select, in tpconfig, "Medium: Plain paper" then there is only "Plain Paper" available in the "Media Type" property.

If I select, in tpconfig again, "Medium: CD printable" then all options are available in the "Media Type" property.

For this test, it is required to close the OpenOffice application to see the changes.

Is this an issue ?
