Ink supply info only displaying black

I have an Epson Stylus color 3000 running on OSX 10.6.8 and have noticed that when I want supply level info I only get the black level and not the colour. This is when I use the Printfab toolbox utility directly or the system printer monitor window. The printer itself has a plugged black nozzle at present but the colours are printing fine.
