Hi
I have been using Turbo Print for years with my Canon MP620. However after I updated the computer with the latest version of Linux Mint I cannot print. I get messages like printer not responding or that turbo print is unable to save the configuration changes. So I used the Mint "Printers" app and added the Canon printer uri as bjnp://192.168.1.123. When I print a test page it processes but is never printed. If try adding a printing using TurboPrint and network printer with the IP address and Port it always says the printer did not respond etc. So I do not know what is wrong. When I set it up on Mint 13 TurboPrint found the printer and configured everything and it just worked.
Any suggestion as to why I cannot print on the new version of Mint 17?
Thanks,
Simon
Canon MP620 Does not Print
Re: Canon MP620 Does not Print
Hi
The printer is now working but the problem appears to be due to an installer failure. The GDebi Installer just hung so I had to cancel it. I then had to run "dpkg --configure -a " which hung until I pressed "Enter" in the terminal window and then I get the following message:
install-post: line 599: kde4-config: command not found
after which the configuration completes and the printer now prints.
