I'm trying to do duplex printing on my Canon PIXMA iP4000 by clicking all the boxes for that purpose wherever I see them. Connected via wireless print server. It Doesn't work. Any suggestions?

Duplex printing is supported, direct usb or wireless connection should not matter - it the printer prints at all, it should also print duplex.

The default setting can be changed in TurboPrint Config / command line "xtpconfig": page "paper", drop down list "duplex".

In some applications duplex printing can be chosen in the print dialog, e.g. KDE applications, OpenOffice.

I just connected a Canon PIXMA MP970 to linux PC via both USB amd Ethernet. After having solved many problems, I still cant set duplex as default. I can select it afterwards in openOffice, but it is not what I want.

Also I dont understand the reply in the only other message concerning duplex printing. Where is this xtpconfig file, which line should be droped ???

regards, Paul

Hello,

the description is for TurboPrint 1.x.

In TurboPrint 2, start the TurboPrint Control Center (icon "TurboPrint Control" / command line "turboprint") and open the config window (button "Configure").

In the configuration window, the duplex setting can be found on the page "Layout" (the selection can be made in a "drop down list" / "pop up list").

OpenOffice Writer will show the new duplex default setting when it is started the next time after you made changes in the TurboPrint Control Center.
