Paper problem

I don't know if this is strictly a Linux problem, but it's happening on my Linux network, so I'll put the question here.

xtpconfig print test page tells me the paper tray is empty. I have plenty of paper in the printer. I am out of cyan. Could that be the real problem.

BTW, my network kept confusing my HP 1200 printer with my Epson R800, so I finally disconnected the HP from the server. I'd print to the R800 and get a never-ending output of paper from the HP.

This sounds like a problem that existed with earlier versions of the CUPS printing system - as long as no data were sent to the printer the error status "media tray empty" was reported by CUPS (and also reported in TurboPrint Config).

Which version of CUPS are you using - e.g. shown in a web browser if you open the page
