Hi,
I'm using TurboPrint 2.53 on OpenSuse Tumbleweed. When I run TurbPrint Monitor I've get this communicate "ERROR - No connection to turboprint deamon". Still I can print using TurboPrint.

this error is sometimes reported for network printers that do not report printer and ink status. How is your current printer setup:

- printer model
- connection by LAN or WiFi
- is the printer attached to a router or printer server?

And please open TurboPrint Control and find out the printer's "URI" (table of printers, column "URI")

Epson L3156 - printer connects to a network via WiFi, URI: @IP adress of my printer. I use this printer with TurboPrint almost three years and before every thing was OK.

Please open TurboPrint Control, dialog "Edit" and configure your printer as follows:

Printer is: other printer
Connection: Network printer LPD
Server: <ip address of printer>
Printer: <leave empty>

then confirm with "Ok" and check in TurboPrint Monitor if you see printer and ink status.

still the same bug

Please make sure that TurboPrint Daemon is enabled in TurboPrint Config:
Dialog "Settings" -> check "TurboPrint Monitor - start daemon when booting".

To start TPDaemon manually, you can use the following commands from a terminal window:

sudo service tpdaemon start

or

sudo tprintdaemon

(the login password will be requested).

TurboPrint Daemon is enabled in TurboPrint Config.
I also tray to run daemon manually, but bug is still present.

After I run TPDeamon manually I've got this bug: "usr/bin/tprintdaemon: symbol lookup error: /usr/bin/tprintdaemon: undefined symbol: _cups_strlcpy"

I'll send you an email with a new version of tprintdaemon for testing. It should solve the "symbol lookup error".

The fixed version has been released in TurboPrint 2.55. Please write if you need a fixed executable for the older TurboPrint 2.54.
