Hi,
got an issue with a Canon IP1500 with Ubuntu 10-10 and turboprint 2.17-2. When I print a test page, the spooler page opens and says the printing is being done with percentages and all, but at the same time it shows a warning sign that the printer stays idle, the printer's light only flashes a couple of times, but then nothing happens. Bizarre ! What did I do wrong ?

Re: IP1500 flashes but won't print - Ubuntu Maverick
Hello,
please find out the printer port "URI": TurboPrint Control -> column "URI" (something like tpu://...).
Then try to print a test page from TurboPrint Control -> button "Toolbox":
1. Nozzle check page
2. Test page -> select "Test & Status page"
If both works then
3. print from an application like OpenOffice or Firefox.
If there are problems, please send the log files
/var/log/turboprint/print.log
/var/log/cups/error_log
to mail at zedonet dot de (replace at with @ and dot with .) and describe what of the three steps worked.
