The last line was the key with the command line --restore!

Icons fixed but old printers disappeared
Thank You for the reply! That was my fault. I made a new build of the libtiff 4 beta3 and glib 2.23.1 at the end of the last year. I made an other build and all is OK now . libtiff 3.9.2 glib 2.22.4 gtk 2.18.7 The /usr/lib/gtk-2.0/2.10.0/loaders/libpixbufloader-tiff.so was linked against the libtiff...
