Re: Get in accurte message when printing on my Epson 1430.

Hello cscj01, probably your driver is connecting to the printer using the standard USB backend driver - shown as "usb://..." in the URI column in TurboPrint Control. While printing, the standard USB backend from CUPS prevents TurboPrint from seeing and accessing the printer. Thus TurboPrint also off...

Re: Epson 1430 Green Issue

I am not sure if this is a problem in the TurboPrint driver, a problem in the printer (e.g. clogged print head, use of compatible ink) or a general limitation with reproduction of very dark colors. Can you please send the following information: - the type of ink that you are using (original Epson in...

Re: printer not connected

Hello gian, for the Canon Pixma Pro 10s the BJNP protocol should be used for data transfer via network. BJNP printer connections are detected automatically by TurboPrint when connected printers are searched (e.g. when editing a printer or adding a new one). Thus the appropriate connecton URI should ...

Re: Can't get opaque films Epson 7710

If there is a regular halftone pattern visible in your prints, either your document is not pure black&white - i.e. contains only the colors black (RGB 0,0,0) and white (RGB 255,255,255) - or the color management settings in the application's print dialog are not appropriate. In PhotoShop please use ...

Re: Not Able To Set Borderless Option For Custom Paper Size

Hello,

TurboPrint actually doesn't support borderless printing for the Canon PIXMA MG2900 printer. According to my information, this printer doesn't support borderless printing (I also confirmed that Canon's Windows driver doesn't offer borderless printing).

Re: Can't get opaque films Epson 7710

If you print a black&white image, no halftones will be printed.

To adjust the ink amount in the solid black areas, a stochastic halftone algorithm is used (like "Floyd Steinberg") that should not be visible if the ink amount is high enough.

Re: Black mistaken print

Thank you for the information about roll paper, this looks promising. I have created a new driver file and added the option to enable the Epson roll paper initialization (EX\006\000\000\000\000\000\005\001). The IR... commands are not present, we may have to add them if the roll paper option can't b...

Re: Black mistaken print

I just sent the experimental driver by email - please excuse the delay.

A roll paper option is not available for the L1300 printer and most other desktop printers. The printer firmware will try to eject the complete roll after the end of a print job, this cannot be prevented by the printer driver.

Re: printer not connected

Hallo Gian, you can edit the IP address in TurboPrint Control. There click on the button to edit your printer. You may either edit the URI string that defines the connection of the printer or select your printer in the pulldown list of printer connections currently available (attached printers which...

Re: Black mistaken print

Hello, this is correct, the default setting for Glossy mixes black from Cyan, Magenta and Yellow and the setting for Inkjet Paper uses CMYK but is currently limited to 2880dpi. A higher print resolution is possible but print speed is lower and print quality is probably the same. I can send you an ex...

Re: Blurry left edge when printing with Printfab

Hello, I assume that the photo card printed in landscape format. Does the blurred edge occur at the start or at the end of the print process? A white line at the end can occur if the page size selected in the driver doesn't match the actual paper size. Which page size did you select in the print dia...

Re: Can Turboprint handle gray profiles?

Hello and sorry for the late answer,
TurboPrint currently doesn't handle gray profiles. You can get the same result by selecting an RGB profile with the same gama value (e.g. sRGB) and selecting "Color Mode"="Gray Photo".
