Okies after a bit of research I think I've worked out it's not possible at the moment. From what I understand it is up to the TurboPrint developers to port turboprint's gnome-panel applet to Unity's indicator applet system.
Is this correct? And if so, is this something being worked on? I ...

Dear all,
I've done a fresh install of the Ubuntu 11.10 OS and installed TurboPrint to get the full functionality of my Canon MP600 printer. Unfortunately I unable to get the TurboPrint system tray icon on the Unity panel. How should I go about adding this?
