It nearly always freezes on the first page, with a couple of inches printed. The print monitor says '4%, or 19%' or similar.

To clear it:

1) I press the 'stop' button on the Canon.
2) The Canon reads 'please wait momentarily'
3) Nothing happens (for up to 3 or 4 minutes)
4) I switch ...
