Sorry. Got my printers mixed up.
Evidently the HP printer won't let the ink levels be seen if network attached (windows won't show them either).

I found the solution. I installed the driver from ftp://download.canon.jp/pub/driver/bj/l ... 2.i386.rpm and I can see everything now!

It's connected via ethernet (hardwired). My HP Photosmart seems to work completely but not the canon. Is there a way to (ugh) use the windows drivers?

HP Photosmart 8750
I can get an HP Photosmart 8750 to print by setting it as another model (e.g. photosmart pro b8800 series) but it can't sense ink levels, etc. Is there a setting that will allow full function?
