I got it fixed but not the way it should have worked... I ended up installing it through the CUPS and then following the directions from the README file in the installation folder using the terminal to install and apply the key. The setup icon on the desktop wasn't working at all... Tim www.timgelvi...

It seems like it installed properly, but... when running the setup it brings up the kdesu xtpsetup window... I enter my password and it goes away... that's all that happens... nothing else. I don't even get to setup my printer.

What do I do now?

Actually I am having a hard time installing... I too have used Turboprint for 3 years and with good results. I even have a key. I'm on the 64bit Kubuntu Gutsy Gibbon and not having any luck at all... below is the error message... (Reading database ... 113700 files and directories currently installed...
