The user name transmitted by XP seems to cause the problem. You could edit the file
/usr/lib/cups/filter/pstoturboprint
and change the line
TPCOMMANDLINE="$TPPRINT -a0 -e1 -s${TPWIDTH}x$TPHEIGHT -p${TPXOFFSET}x$TPYOFFSET -v2 -l$LOGFILE $TPOPTION --ppdfile=$PPD --psheader=$CHUNKFILE --jobid ...
