Get in accurte message when printing on my Epson 1430.

My Epson 1430 is connected via a USB plug. When I print a document, I get a message in Turboprint that there is a USB error or the printer is not connected. However, the document prints correctly. i used the wrong word to describe the issue. The page for the PDF document prints with no top margin even though the space is there in the PDF document.. As I said in the previous post, the top margin is correct for printing the document fron both Scribus and LO Writer.

Epson 1430 Green Issue

When I select a dark green font color, Turboprint has grayish word(s) mixed in with the correct color on my printed output. The colors show correctly on the monitor. I am using Ubuntu 18.04 and LibreOffice 6.0.7.3. How can I correct this?
