ok fixed it by running under a sudo shell.
You need to install libc++5.0 in hardy for turboprint to run.

I also am having the same problem. I did an upgrade from 7.10 and now turboprint fails to start. I have tried re-installing (no errors) but the setup/config files fail to launch.
