Hello,

our Canon PIXMA iP1700 driver also works for the iP1800. I think it is a problem that is not directly related to the printer driver.

It could be e.g. a known problem accessing printers in Ubuntu Linux - see this post:

Hello,

I mean the person, not the user name or UID.

TurboPrint is not "locked" to user id numbers (and the number of jobs is unlimited) - we trust our users to use the software according to the license terms.

Hello, I wasn't aware that this post was still unanswered. Of course TurboPrint cannot guess the monitor used. TurboPrint uses the "sRGB" color space. However, by default the "gamma" value is set to 1.8 instead of the sRGB standard of 2.2. This means that prints are a bit brighte...

Hello,

a possible reason is that the "n-up" feature is switched on (printing several pages on one sheet of paper). Please check in TurboPrint Config and also from command line using

lpoptions -p <printer name>

Hello,

the function "multiple pages per sheet" is not a a feature of TurboPrint but of the Linux CUPS printing system. It does not work with all applications. Which application did you print from?

In this case I suggest that you leave TrueMatch on.

Hello,

we didn't have such problems (or reports) yet. I will investigate if there is a way to specify the pause. It might also help to try a different type of plain paper - there are differences in drying time.

Yes, the print was made in "borderless" mode. It should help to reduce "Ink Saturation" in TurboPrint Config (Graphics -> Activate User Colors -> Advanced -> Ink Saturation).

Hello, the setting "TrueMatch" off is meant for generating an ICC profile. The uncalibrated print is indeed darker. If you create a profile with a spectrometer like Gretag EyeOne, the resulting quality is usually good, however if you create a profile using a flatbed scanner, it may be bett...

Hello, I only know of of problems with Acrobat Reader: the automatic scaling of pages so that nothing is cut off at the edges doesn't work properly, so in "borderless" documents something may be cut off - we are trying to find a solution. Instead scaling must be specified manually in Acrob...

Hello, a possible problem may be: if a borderless page format is chosen or a paper/media type different from "Plain Paper" is chosen, black is mixed out of yellow, magenta and cyan (this is a restriction of the printer and is also done by Canon's Windows driver). To see if the driver is op...

Please excuse the delay. Yes, this is possible. You can buy a profile measurement and use the profile with the demo version. If the trial period should be too short we can send a trial license key for another 15 days.
