Hello, a possible problem may be: if a borderless page format is chosen or a paper/media type different from "Plain Paper" is chosen, black is mixed out of yellow, magenta and cyan (this is a restriction of the printer and is also done by Canon's Windows driver). To see if the driver is op...

Please excuse the delay. Yes, this is possible. You can buy a profile measurement and use the profile with the demo version. If the trial period should be too short we can send a trial license key for another 15 days.

I received the log files. However, I can't find a reason for the problem there. Is there anything else that you might have changed in between: - switched from setting "Apple RGB" to "sRGB" in the print dialog, section "PrintFab Settings" - installed a new PrintFab versi...

Hello, a possible explanation is that you print the image from command line using lp -d <print queue> <image filename> CUPS has a sort of "poster mode" for command line printing - if the image doesn't fit on the page it is printed in several sections. From which application did you print?

Hello, if prints from both applications (QuarkXpress and Photoshop) come out too dark, probably the reason will be found in the printing queue. However, if this problem only occurs from certain applications, it might also be derived to a wrong "color management" setting in an application. ...

Hello,

TurboPrint 2 based on GTK2 is planned for end of this year.

Of course also the current TurboPrint 1.x lets you change the page size. Or is it the alignment of the print on the page that you want to change?

Hello, printing in black&white or grayscale mode should be quick, if media type "Plain Paper" is selected and no borderless page size is selected. These settings are also available from OpenOffice applications. From the OpenOffice print dialog, choose "Settings", tab "De...

Hello,

no, this is not possible with PrintFab. PrintFab only simulates color reproduction, screen settings are not effective.

Hello, print quality should be quite good if a glossy photo paper is used (e.g. Canon papers PR101 / PP101 / GP301/401/501) and the driver is set to the correct paper type and a high print quality. To see if the driver is using the correct settings you could post the log file /var/lpg/turboprint_cup...

Hello,

I haven't got a clue. You could post /var/log/cups/error_log to check if all print jobs went to the correct driver. This file may be large - you can also send it to mail at zedonet dot com.

Hello, setting the margins to zero in digikam is necessary. Additionally, you have to choose a "borderless" page size in the print dialog - e.g. "A4 borderless" or "4x6 borderless". Thin white lines have been reported - they seem to be caused by the postscript interpret...

Hello, if the prints were made using TurboPrint, there should be some content in /var/log/turboprint_cups.log. To get saturated colors, you may have to use a higher print quality. The default can be set using TurboPrint Config, in most applications you can set the print quality directly from the app...
