Hello,

the "zedonet" paper entry is for an older A4 size paper. You can also choose it for photo cards, however you may have to increase brightness a bit to get good results.

Probably you are setting up the printer with the Kubuntu printer setup. Please use TurboPrint Control Center - there you can select the connection entry with "TP-USB" suffix.

Hello, printing from command line is handled by the CUPS printing system - there should be no difference between TurboPrint 1.9x and 2.x. The command line lp -d <printer> -o media=4x6inBorderless -o scaling=100 filename.jpg should work (you may have to add -o landscape). The media size names depend ...

Hello, gLabels seems to create spool files in printer resolution. A workaround would be to specify a lower printer resolution in the TurboPrint description file (e.g. 300x300dpi) - the print job is then scaled up by the printer driver (print quality will be a little bit lower). Edit the file /usr/sh...

Hello,

I just made a few experiments with Krita 1.6.3 and printing seems to me quite straightforward - where did you encounter problems?

Hello, for good results please make sure that you choose the correct paper type and a high print quality in TurboPrint Control Center. If original Canon ink cartridges are in the printer and you are using one of the supported paper types (e.g. Canon Matte Paper MP101, Canon Glossy Paper GP401 / 501)...

Hello, a driver for the Canon MP540 will be released in approx. 1-2 months. Unfortunately this printer doesn't seem to work with other existing drivers. TurboPrint is only a printer driver, the scanner unit is not supported (but may be supported in the future by SANE). Difference to other drivers: T...

Topic: getting black in borderless mode with pixma ix4000

Hello,

the ix4000 printer and many other Canon printers can't use the pigment black in borderless mode because the print head layout is not suitable for printing borderless.

Black is mixed out of cyan, magenta and yellow instead - this is also the case with Canon's Windows printer drivers.

Hello, I sent this by email just an hour ago: Thank you for the log files! The problem seems to come from authorization problem within CUPS - the result is that the network address (URI) is not correctly stored and becomes file:/dev/null instead. I have no explanation yet. However, I will try to fin...

Hello, thank you for your feedback! I agree that support for embedded platforms would be cool, but this is only a very small market. About the PPC version: currently there is little demand (maybe because many MAC users have switched to Intel MACs), so no decision has been made if the PPC version wil...
