Hello,

I have not heard of such a problem yet. You should be able to print until the cartridge is really empty. If the printer blocks printing before the cartridge is empty, hold the resume button on the printer for at least 5 seconds to continue printing.

The Pro4800 driver should have better color accuracy than the R220 - the same profiles as in our RIP solution PrintFab for Mac OS X are used. However, the profiles in turboprint-1.95-2 are not the final profiles. Please download ftp://ftp.zedonet.com/turboprint-1.95-3beta.tgz for a version with the ...

Hello,

there is an incompatibility with shared libraries - we will try to fix this with the next TurboPrint for PPC release.

If there is a newer version of libstdc++ in /usr/lib, it may help to create a symbolic link e.g.

ln -s /usr/lib/libstdc++ .so.6 /usr/lib/libstdc++.so.5

Hello,

can you post the last section of the logfiles

/var/log/turboprint_cups.log
/var/log/cups/error_log

after trying to print (or send them by "PM -private message")?

Hello, I would first try to find the driver's media type that gives the best result, then adjust C/M/Y as necessary. To compare the media settings I recommend to cut a sheet of paper from the roll and print on it several times at different positions: tpprint .... -s4000x3000 -p0x0 -m4 tpprint .... -...

The iP1800 should work with the iP1700 driver. If someone verifies this, please post here.

The command may be /usr/libexec/cups/backend/usb (gentoo Linux) or /usr/lib64/cups/backend/usb (64bit Linux).

You can also add the driver from KDE control center or from localhost:631 - choose "Canon TurboPrint" as manufacturer.

Hello,

you can also enter manually in TurboPrint Setup /dev/usblp0 or /dev/usb/lp0.

If the CUPS USB backend detects the printer it should also be listed in TurboPrint Setup. You can try to execute

/usr/lib/cups/backend/usb

(from a root command line) to check if CUPS sees the printer.

Sorry, there was a spelling error (missing "_" in the printer name).

Try

tpprint -dEpson_StylusPro4800 -s10200x10200 -q2 -m5 -f26 -i5 image.ppm -v2 ...

I have added "-v2" for debug information. If printout is still not okay, please cut & copy & post the terminal output.

we don't have experience with printing to a Vista printer server yet - I will try to find out more.

There might be some information available in other forums.

I can't tell why it shouldn't work. USB problems are rare and it is very unlikely that they appear on both of your computers. It would be helpful to have the log files "printfab_cups.log" and "cups/error_log" emailed after trying to print: - Open "Applications" / "...
