Problem with hp designjet 130 nr

Post by arquitecto » Mon Dec 23, 2013 5:13 pm

Hi,

I run ubuntu 12.04 64 bit and downloaded and installed turboprint 2.31-1 64 bit trial

I added my hp designjet 130 nr printer ( nr means it has roll feed) and the test print stops after "cartridge: color Margins."
The paper didn't come out and I had to restart the printer.
The monitor is now showing the unfinished print after sending more prints.
And now it does not print even the half page.
Cups is now not printing at all too.

I am very sad because with cups it was the same...It printed half page and then stopped...

I wish turboprint improves because I really enjoyed the gui ! :D
And I also love this printer.

Since it is on the list of supported printers, can we expect a different behaviour?

Thanks in advance and congrats for your software ( even if it didn't work for me linux printing needs this program for sure)

Hello,

the printer is supported by TurboPrint and of course it should print the complete page.

How is the printer connected - USB or Ethernet?
Please also post the printers "URI" as visible in TurboPrint Control -> list of printers -> column "URI".

Hi,

Thanks for the reply.

The printer is connected via usb.

Here is the path:
usb://HP/designjet%20130nr%20(C7791D)?serial=MY63EC80DN

There is a permanent message in turboprint monitor after printing half page saying "|!| printer not connected or swithced off" and a spooler message " unable to send data to printer.

I wish I had it working under linux since this printer is a must.
