turboprint daemon not starting on openSUSE 12.1

I have just upgraded to openSUSE 12.1 from 11.4. Prior to the upgrade everything was working fine, but now the tpdaemon doesn't start on boot.

System Services list the tpdeamon as enabled.

Checking the status:
linux-094j:# /etc/init.d/tpdaemon status
TurboPrint daemon is not running
linux-094j: #
The TurboPrint Monitor also reports: ERROR - No connection to turboprint daemon

A line in dmesg seems to report the daemon has started:
[ 9.308078] tpdaemon[863]: TurboPrint daemon started
I can however start the daemon manually with no problems:
wies@linux-094j:~$ sudo /usr/bin/tprintdaemon 3
TP-Daemon Version 2.23-1
Debug Level set to 3
wies@linux-094j:~$
Checking the status now:
linux-094j:# /etc/init.d/tpdaemon status
TurboPrint daemon is running, pid=6461
linux-094j: #
The TurboPrint Monitor now reports: Printer not connected or switched off

As far a I can tell, everything is setup correctly for the daemon to start on boot, it just doesn't.

I see you wrote this over 5 months ago, and I don't see any response. I wrote last month without a response too. It's sad that I spent $37.99 USD on this Software and there appears to be no support in here - maybe there is a "Contact Us" on the website at TurboPrint? I also use openSUSE and am encountering the same problem.

Hello,

I apologize that this thread had not been answered before. We really try to answer every post and there is also a contact form on our website.

There was a problem with TurboPrint Daemon not starting under SuSE 12.1 if a certain SuSE upgrade package is installed (package "systemd"), this has been solved in TurboPrint versions 2.24 and higher. I recommend to install the current TurboPrint version 2.26-1.
