Hi,

I am having a problem printing photographs in my canon pixma IP7250 from my raspberry2. When I try to print on 4x6inch sheets the printer starts "dividing" the image in different sheets.

Please find attached an example:

Is there any way to avoid this?

Thank you!

Hello,

the problem may be caused by unreliable data transfer to the printer via USB interface.
You can try to change the printer USB backend. There are two printer USB backends, the generic CUPS/Linux backend (usb) and the TurboPrint backend (tpu).

Please open TurboPrint Control and find out if the column "URI" in the list of printers starts with "usb..." or "tpu...".

Then click on "Edit" and select a different printer port:

URI was "usb..." => select "Canon PIXMA iP7200 series TP-USB"
URI was "tpu..." => select "Canon PIXMA iP7200 series USB"

Confirm with "Ok".

The URI in the list of printers should have changed - now please try if printing is reliable.
