Not Able To Set Borderless Option For Custom Paper Size

Post by MrJman006 » Sun Dec 29, 2019 3:18 am

Hi!

I am trying to print something without borders. I have successfully connected my printer in the TurboPrint User Interface, but when I go to create a custom paper size, the borderless option is greyed out. Is there something special I have to do? Details for my setup are below.

Custom Page Size: 8in x 6in
Linux Kernel: 4.15.0-72-generic
Distro: Ubuntu 16.08
Printer: Cannon MG2900
Application: Atril Document Viewer
Document Type: .pdf

I just tried this and found that I have to add a new paper size before all the options will appear, it seems like you cannot modify an existing size. Try Add at the bottom left of the screen and define a new one, I was able to do this and add borderless.

Well I have attached a screenshot from my system. One obvious question - does your printer support borderless printing?

Hello,

TurboPrint actually doesn't support borderless printing for the Canon PIXMA MG2900 printer. According to my information, this printer doesn't support borderless printing (I also confirmed that Canon's Windows driver doesn't offer borderless printing).
