Can't reinstall TP2

Post by mikew »

I have been having problems upgrading from Mint 8 to Mint 9 - now sorted, but in the meantime TP2 has become corrupted. I have downloaded a new version which won't install with Gdebi. I get a message Package may be corrupted or you are not allowed to open file. Please check permissions in file. So I open the file, change the permissions but still get the same message. When I try to install via Terminal I get message. Turboprint needs to be reinstalled but I can't find an archive.
I have done a search but the only entry for turboprint is the key file.
Help please!!

Hello mikew,

as the .deb archive works correctly with major Debian related Linuxes, the problem is probably related to your Mint 9 installation.
However, you can just download and install the ".tar" archive - it brings its own installer and should work on most Linux systems.
