TurboPrint and Salix OS

I have been using TurboPrint on my netbook, which has had Xubuntu 11.04 installed on it. I am considering switching to Salix OS, which is a Slackware based distro, and I am wondering how I can install TurboPrint when it is only available as an .rpm or .deb file.

please use the TurboPrint .tgz Archive and install from a terminal window - you can find installation instructions on the download page.
