We recently updated our operating systems to 10.9.4 and are having trouble using the PrintFab on our small network (we have 5 licenses). The only driver we see is 2.25 and it is not working to print. We have an old PowerBook as a print server connected directly to a Canon Pixma 9000 Mark ii via USB cable. We have an ethernet network with 4 other machines - 3 recently updated to the Mavericks/10.9 operating system. These 3 machines will not print to the Canon (the 4th machine is a MacPro that does not support 10.9).

What are we missing?

Hello,

on the clients, you cannot set up the PrintFab printer directly from PrintFab Toolbox but need to install it with the "print&fax" settings of OS X:

1. add a new printer with the "+" symbol

2. Choose "IP" as connection type and "Internet Printing Protocol - IPP" as protocol.

3. enter the IP address of the server (or the network name) as "Address" and "printer/QUEUENAME" as "Queue". Instead of "QUEUENAME" enter the correct name of your server's printer queue.
(To find out the name of the printer queue open "print&fax" settings on your server, select the printer queue and press "Option&Supplies" - it is shown under "Queue Name").

4. finally, choose the driver "Canon PIXMA Pro9000II PrintFab" ("Print using" -> "select a driver to use ..." -> search for Canon PrintFab)

Please let me know if you have problems with these instructions.
