Image Layout and Print

Do you see a future possibility of being able to select either a single or group of images from within TP for printing.
This would involve layout options from single image to 'contact sheet'.

Currently there are conflicts between TP and some graphics programs that make placement, borders and other options difficult or impossible.

Hello,

thank you for your suggestion - this would be a good idea for a future extension of TurboPrint.

Currently we recommend to use GIMP and our extended TurboPrint print dialog (menu entry "File"->"TurboPrint..." withing GIMP) to print single images.

It might also make sense to investigate and - if possible - solve the problems that you mentioned
- from which graphics program(s) did you experience difficulties?
- can you explain the problem (e.g. wrong placement of images on page)?

Controlling border layout in Digikam is 'problematic'; It appears impossible to fully adjust to my needs.

If I worked in the 8 bit world of Gimp this might be an option to consider but moving images into Gimp's colour-space simply for printing is not really a productive route.

There are a number of fine programs for handling one aspect or another of work flow and also 'photoprint' for the printing process but none of them really mesh totally with TP.
