Brother MFC-J6520DW

After many years of service my Canon iP5200 finally got crud in its heads and has gone to the rubbish dump where most of our IT equipment ends up. I have just purchased a Brother MFC-J6520DW as I needed/wanted an A3 scanner. The Brother supplied Linux drivers work fine, with the exception of borderless Photo prints, which I think can probably be fixed by amending the CUPS PPD (I have not tried this yet).

I am a big fan of TurboPrint and want to continue to use it, if possible. I think many Brother users would benefit from the ease of use, especially when printing to non-standard papers (which is hopeless in standard CUPS, who uses 1/72 of an inch as a measure these days).

If any information or testing is required just let me know.

Regards
Paul

Hello,

thank you for your suggestion! I hope we can add drivers for Brother inkjet printers in a future TurboPrint release.

Hello,

we are sorry that no progress has been made in supporting Brother inkjet printers.

The problem is that we cannot get technical information from Brother for these devices, so no support for Brother inkjet printers & multifunction devices is to be expected :(
