Epson XP-620 and cassette 1

Post by gandalftomte »

I'm currently using the demo version to print on my Epson XP-620 printer (actually an XP-625, which is just the white version of the black XP-620 I think).
TP offers many more settings than the Epson driver (which barely has any settings at all, not even possible to disable color management).
(I found TP when trying to figure out how to use ICC profiles needed when using non-Epson ink)

Now to my problem, I want to print 10x15 which I have loaded into Cassette 1, but TP doesn't allow me to select Cassette 1.
TP lists "Automatic Feed", "Cassette 2", "Rear". (This printer doesn't have a rear feed)
I've tried them all but the printer just wants me to load 10x15 paper in Cassette 2 regardless of what I select (which I normally use for A4).

When using the Epson driver I can print on 10x15 in Cassette 1.
(The Epson driver behaves a bit weird, sometimes it only shows "Auto" and "Cassette 2", but sometimes it also shows "Cassette 1". When it doesn't show "Cassette 1" I can select Auto and the printer does the right<tm> thing anyway, iow it prints using Cassette 1)

Any way to get TP to print using Cassette 1?

Hello,

Cassette 1 was actually missing in the TurboPrint settings for the XP-620 printer. I will send you a new driver file by email.
We will include the patch in the next PrintFab release.

Hi,

I've installed the updated printer description file and now Cassette 1 is working :)
(I havn't verified that Cassette 2 still works...)

10x15 borderless prints are only borderless on 2 sides (one long and one short), the other 2 sides still have some white margin.
(10x15 borderless prints work fine when using the driver from epson)

Is there a way to adjust the offsets of the image printed so that it covers the margins on the remaining 2 sides?

I get the same 10x15 borderless not-so-borderless-issue when printing 10x15 using Cassette 2 as well, so this should probably get its own thread...
(A4 borderless from Cassette 2 works fine)

Thanks!

Hello,

this was a problem from 2016 that was fixed in PrintFab version 2.84 (January 2017). Which version of PrintFab do you currently use?

The problem that we solved was that a "Cassette 1" paper input selection was actually missing in the old driver.
Maybe you have a problem that is a bit different, in this case please send more information.
